Quick start
To start using BoB:
- Log in using your institutional account
- Search for a programme, topic or keyword
- Click on a result to watch or request it
- Save content to My BoB so you can find it again later
What can I do with BoB?
With BoB, you can:
- Watch programmes from a large archive of TV and radio broadcasts
- Search within transcripts to find specific moments
- Request programmes from the past 30 days or schedule recordings in advance
- Create clips and playlists for teaching and study
- Share content with other users at your institution
How do I find content on BoB?
Use the search bar to:
- Look for programme titles or topics
- Search using keywords across transcripts
- Explore playlists created by other users
If you can’t find what you’re looking for, you may need to:
- Use TRILT to search broadcast listings
- Submit an Off-Air request for archive content
What is My BoB?
My BoB is your personal area where you can:
- Access requested programmes
- Save and organise content
- Find your clips and playlists
Things to keep in mind
- BoB is only available to staff and students based in the UK
- Some channels are recorded automatically, while others need to be requested
- Programmes are usually available within 12 hours after broadcast
