Overview
Each institution nominates a Member Representative and an Off-Air Representative.
These roles have different purposes:
- The Member Representative is the main contact and helps share updates and resources internally
- The Off-Air Representative has additional permissions to manage Off-Air requests and access usage data

Member Representative
The Member Representative is the main point of contact between your institution and Learning on Screen.
They:
- Receive updates, newsletters and announcements
- Share resources and opportunities with staff and students
- Act as a key contact for internal queries
- Represent your institution’s needs and feedback
Off-Air Representative
The Off-Air Representative has additional permissions within the platform.
They can:
- Review and manage Off-Air requests
- Approve, decline or put requests on hold
- View and export usage reports
👉 The same person can be both Member Representative and Off-Air Representative. Institutions can also assign multiple people with Off-Air Representative permissions, if needed.
How do I get access?
To request either role:
- Email members@learningonscreen.ac.uk
- Include:
- Your institution
- Your role
- The permissions you need

Usage reports
Off-Air Representatives can access usage reports to understand how BoB is being used at their institution.
To view reports:
- Go to: https://learningonscreen.ac.uk/off-air/rep.php?mode=reports and log in to your Learning on Screen account
- Select a category, such as "Programmes watched" or "Playlists created" and choose a date range

To get the data:
- Click “View summary” to see an overview of key activity (e.g., most-watched programmes, overall usage)
- Click “Download report” to export a detailed report for the selected category

Managing off-air requests
As an Off-Air Representative, you can review and manage requests submitted by users at your institution.
